I was surprised to see “Kick-Ass” being labeled as a cult hit in the media in multiple instances. It was described as a film that was overlooked during its theatrical run but developed a following on video, and thus, garnered a sequel. Maybe that’s what Lionsgate fed them but it’s simply not true.
