Cannes: "Cosmopolis" is Impactful Bore

While the opening credits are rolling, paint splatters from something resembling a Jackson Pollock painting are shown on the bottom of the film screen. This is the first introduction to a very abstract and psychologically twisted story about money and power in the modern world. The concept of deconstructing the fast-paced and elusive financial world into slow and explainable scenes is fascinating, yet to sit through almost two hours of this psychoanalysis is like watching the paint splatters dry.

The Devil's Knot

Based on the work of journalist Mara Leveritt, "Devil's Knot" is about the brutal murders of three 8-year old boys and the three teenagers accused and convicted of the murders. After spending 18 years in prision, the three men where finally released in 2011. The movie is shooting in June 2012.


Dark Was the Night Attracts Kevin Durand, Lukas Haas – Caliber Media Co., Sundial Pictures and Preferred Content have started production Dark Was the Night. Shooting begins Sunday, February 19th with Kevin Durand (Real Steel, Lost) and Lukas Haas (Contraband, Inception) will star in and battle with a never-before-seen monster in director Jack Heller's upcoming horror feature.
