In fact, recently it has felt like the only thing you can do with such a cornball story is reimagine it, to make it relevant to a modern audience, and to address its fundamentally regressive gender politics.

The film stars Lily James as Ella, Helena Bonham Carter as the fairy godmother, Cate Blanchett as the wicked stepmother,  and Richard Madden as the prince. It is directed by Kenneth Branagh. Disney Releases New Trailer For Live-Action Cinderella Disney has released a trailer for their upcoming live-action Cinderella movie. Walt Disney Pictures is promoting a "Countdown To Midnight" sneak peek, which means at midnight, or around midnight, new footage from Kenneth Branagh's live-action Cinderella film will be shown. Cool beans, and you can see a sneak peek below. But they are doing this promotion all around the globe, I guess, and since the new year has already arrived in Australia that means the new one minute of footage from film has already been released.

Walt Disney Pictures has released a trailer preview for their upcoming reboot Cinderella, ahead of the full-length trailer's debut on Wednesday, November 19 on ABC's Good Morning America.The studio released a trailer back in May, but it didn't include any footage from director Kenneth Branagh's fairy tale drama. Although it's only 15 seconds, we do get to see Game of Thrones star Richard Madden as the charming Kit.

Chris Pine is the latest actor to take over the role of Jack Ryan in the international spy thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. Since Harrison Ford dropped out of the series, Paramount seems to want to keep the character young. This is the third reboot since Alec Baldwin begin the series with The Hunt for Red October, which was a critical and commercial success -- 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and $122M at the domestic box office.
