HOMEFRONT stars Jason Statham as former drug enforcement agent, Phil Broker, a family man who moves off the grid with his daughter, to a seemingly quiet bayou backwater to escape his troubled past. However, Broker’s world soon becomes anything but quiet once he discovers that an underbelly of drugs and violence riddles the small town.

An adaptation of American literary icon Jack Kerouac’s novel of the same name, BIG SUR focuses on a moment in Kerouac’s life when, overwhelmed by the success of his opus On the Road and struggling to battle inner demons, he seeks respite in three brief sojourns to a cabin in the small, coastal California town of Big Sur.

New Trailer and Images for BIG SUR Starring Jean-Marc Barr, Josh Lucas, and Kate Bosworth

collider.com – A new trailer and images for the Jack Kerouac adaptation Big Sur have made their way online. Directed by Michael Polish, the film takes place after the success of Kerouac’s On the Road and chronicles the author’s struggle with alcoholism and depression in the early 1960s. I caught the film at Sundance earlier this year and was not a huge fan, but Jean-Marc Barr does a fine job of capturing the sad genius of Kerouac onscreen. 7 years 30 weeks ago via theothersenhman

The film tells the story of Kerouac’s move from New York City to Northern California, and stars Jean-Marc Barr as Kerouac, Josh Lucas as Neal Cassidy, and Kate Bosworth as Billie, the love interest of both men. 8 years 15 weeks ago via jetli

Kate Bosworth & Lake Bell on the Run in First Trailer for 'Black Rock'

feedproxy.google.com – Despite the title and the bumpers used within the trailer itself, the new thriller Black Rock is not some sort of "Lost" spin-off. However, the film from director Katie Aselton does feel like it's some sort of blend of Eden Lake and Last House on the Left as Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell and Aselton herself attempt to reconnect on a camping trip to a deserted island only to find it not-so-deserted. 8 years 20 weeks ago via theothersenhman

Little Birds
fb.indiewire.com – We've talked about Elgin James' colorful past on numerous occasions but we're now finally on the brink of seeing what he can offer with his debut film "Little Birds." Born out of the Sundance Labs, the film premiered to a warm reception at Park City last year but -- possibly due to a recent incarceration -- it won't see a theatrical release until this summer. 8 years 47 weeks ago via theothersenhman
