Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
The last weeks of summer seem to be following the unfortunate trend of a continuous stream of mediocre releases. The two movies arriving in theaters today haven’t been receiving hardly any positive reviews; it’s not going to be pretty any way you slice it, so let’s get to it.

Last week we got our first look at Joaquin Phoenix and Josh Brolin in Paul Thomas Anderson’s highly anticipated INHERENT VICE. Now typically the Internet wouldn’t go crazy for an image from what might be classified as one of the more quiet movies of the year, but this is Paul Thomas Anderson and it’s the adaption of INHERENT VICE! That’s two of my favorite things ever just so... Read More...

Review: 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For' Starring Jessica Alba, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Eva Green And More When Robert Rodriguez’s original "Sin City" was released way back in 2005, the VFX-heavy neo-noir felt like something genuinely groundbreaking – a comic book adaptation so faithful to the source material and its striking visuals that the comic's creator Frank Miller received a co-directing credit. Rodriguez and Miller didn't so much translate sequences from Miller's beloved cult series as they practically cut and pasted them out of the graphic novel, positioning them in arresting tableaus Xeroxed straight from the books.

First Look: Joaquin Phoenix & Josh Brolin from PTA's 'Inherent Vice' Finally! Meet Doc Sportello - Joaquin Phoenix in Paul Thomas Anderson's new film Inherent Vice. Set in the 1970s, Doc is a marijuana-loving private eye and investigates the disappearance of a former girlfriend in this "Cheech and Chong"-esque film from PTA - in theaters this winter. While we've featured one set photo previously, we've also been waiting patiently for an actual first look that isn't a set photo, and we finally have this - a shot from Entertainment Weekly, but it's something, as we get to see that impressive hairdo on Joaquin.

'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' Juno Temple Character Poster Director Robert Rodriguez has been unveiling a number of character posters for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For through his Twitter account lately, with the latest one-sheet focusing on one of the new casting additions, Juno Temple. The actress plays Sally, one of the Old Town residents, who was featured in one of the new clips that debuted this week, where she is seen dealing with a violent Joey, played by Ray Liotta, before Dwight (Josh Brolin) swoops in to save the day.

Eva Green sizzles in new teaser for Sin City: A Dame To Kill For A new teaser has arrived online for Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, in which Eva Green vamps it up as the film’s premiere femme fatale. This new video establishes her link to Josh Brolin’s Dwight, and includes a snippet of their potentially censor-bothering sex scene, before she gets down to the real business of what she wants… Needless to say, it involves having Dwight kill somebody, and unfortunately for Dwight, he seems very easily manipulated.

4 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' Clips with Ray Liotta and Josh Brolin Dimension Films has unveiled four new clips from the highly-anticipated sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the first of which offers a new look at Ray Liotta's character Joey and Juno Temple's Sally. Just before Joey threatens to kill Sally, Dwight (Josh Brolin) drops in to save the day. The second clip shows Dwight's reunion with Old Town leader Gail (Rosario Dawson), while the third showcases "deadly little Miho" (Jamie Chung) in action.

By now, we're all accustomed to the boundless visual possibilities of computer-generated effects, and aware that we're living in a world in which filmmakers have the ability to show us just about anything within the realm of human imagination. In fact, if you've got enough of the studio's money, amazing visuals are now the easy part -- these days, Hollywood's toughest trick is coming up with enough old-fashioned narrative magic to support all that splendor.

‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ Red Band Trailer: Killer Babes and Josh Brolin’s Naked Butt The Weinstein Company Score one for equality! Well, kind of. Fresh out of Comic-Con comes a brand new red band trailer for Robert Rodriguez’ and Frank Miller‘s Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (does this call for a “DOTPOTA” style acronym? “FMSCADTKF”? sounds like a bad governmental agency), one that applies just a smidge of the same lascivious behavior normally heaped on the ladies of the franchise to one of its (new) leading men.
