Jon M. Chu to Direct 'Jem and the Holograms'

G.I. Joe director Jon M. Chu, Jason Blum, Scooter Braun, and Hasbro are teaming up for the live-action adaption of the '80s cartoon Jem and the Holograms, and they need your input to make the movie "truly outrageous." Watch the video below to learn how. Chu is directing from Ryan Landels' script, and production is set for sometime this spring.

Sony is still set on trying to bring the He-Man movie, Masters of the Universe, to the big screen and is currently looking at directors to replace Jon M. Chu, who dropped out of the project last year. According to TheWrap's source, Mike Cahill, Chris McKay and Harald Zwart are the current frontrunners, but since nothing is finalized, other names may emerge later.

Jon M. Chu is no longer attached to direct Masters of the Universe, the big screen adaptation of the '80s TV cartoon series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
