Jon Hamm News

Review: 'Minions' Featuring The Voices Of Sandra Bullock, Michael Keaton, Jon Hamm, Geoffrey Rush, And More It’s not a huge surprise that the Minions, those Twinkie-colored, pill-shaped henchmen from the “Despicable Me” franchise (that spans several movies, a half-dozen short films, videogames, and a 3D theme park attraction) would eventually wind up with a film all to themselves. They’re iconic, walking that fine line between cute and utterly obnoxious, and highly marketable. They were also the most interesting thing about the “Despicable Me” movies, with their mysterious origins and genderless ambiguity (they do have a proclivity to cross-dress).

The Minions Head To Villain-Con In New Trailer We have our first real look at the Minions movie with this new trailer including the character of Scarlett Overkill voiced by Sandra Bullock. It also includes the voices of Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney and Steve Coogan. Minions hits theaters July 10th. Click here to view the embedded video. It seemed a little odd that Richard Linklater seemed eager to follow up Boyhood -- one of the more critically acclaimed prestige pics of this or any season -- with a remake of the live-action/animated Don Knotts comedy The Incredible Mr. Limpet, which Warner Bros. has been struggling to remake for years.

With the rapturously received Boyhood opening in theaters this weekend, director Richard Linklater has the cinematic world as his oyster, so it might seem strange that his follow-up could be a remake of a Don Knotts comedy from the '60s -- let alone one that boasts an absurdly talented cast.

Million Dollar Arm
This is a good weekend for new releases: today sees the rebirth of a legendary franchise, as well as a feel-good Disney film based on a true story. The best part? Both films are certified fresh (if only just), which is a real rarity.

'Million Dollar Arm' Trailer: Jon Hamm Seeks a Baseball Star in India

feedproxy.google.com – Craig Gillespie‘s Million Dollar Arm stars Jon Hamm in a fictionalized story of a sports agent who finds himself marginalized in the business at home, and comes up with a scheme to find a new pitching star in India. Disney’s movie looks like exactly the sort of true-story sports film we’ve seen from Disney in the past, and does give actors like Aasif Mandvi, Suraj Sharma, and Lake Bell a chance to play with Hamm on the big screen. 6 years 49 weeks ago via brucelee
