Joel Edgerton News

To those that don’t play inside baseball, the litany of catastrophes that beset the production are long, and all of its ugliness spilled out into the press before a frame of footage was shot.

Johnny Depp, Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jesse Plemons, Kevin Bacon, David Harbour, Dakota Johnson, Julianne Nicholson, Adam Scott, Corey Stoll, Juno Temple — Scott Cooper's "Black Mass" is not wanting in characters or stars to play them, but a movie can only hold so much, and unfortunately one had to go: the underrated and very talented Sienna Miller. The trouble for Relativity and The The Weinstein Company's indie western Jane Got a Gun doesn't seem to end. Director Lynne Ramsay left the film just before production started and actors like Michael Fassbender and Jude Law went with her. Now the film is directed by Warrior helmer Gavin O'Connor and stars Joel Edgerton, Natalie Portman (who is also producing), Ewan McGregor and more, but the film's release has been pushed back again.

When the cast of Exodus: Gods and Kings was coming together a few years ago, some fans started to complain that this Biblical re-telling of Moses' story was happening with all white actors, which include Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley and Aaron Paul. While we still have a few weeks left until this epic adventure hits theaters, it remains to be seen if the caucasian cast will be criticized even more.

Edgerton can talk about how the battles are about "ethics", but it looks like they're really about a big visual effects budget. This movie seems to be a biblical epic remov
