Film Review: Annie A new film of the musical "Annie" comes out this week, starring Quvenzhane Wallis and Jamie Foxx. Some online commentators have objected to the decision to change the main character's race, from Caucasian to African-American, but that doesn't negatively affect the film at all. The major problem it has is the producers' decision to tone down the musical's theatricality and cast many non-singers in lead roles.

Yesterday I had the chance to sit down and talk to Academy Award® nominee Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) and Academy Award® winnerJamie Foxx about their upcoming film and new take on "Annie."In the film Wallis stars as Annie, a young, happy foster kid who's also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they'd be back for her someday, it's been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz).

The Amazing Spiderman 2
This weekend kicks off three months of highly-anticipated summer releases with a new film from a Marvel franchise that hasn’t exactly done stellar as of late—it’s suffered the growing pains of a reboot and the skepticism of an audience that wanted the series to go in a different direction. This weekend, we’ll see if the sequel can redeem the franchise—let’s see what The Amazing Spiderman 2.

Exclusive Interview: The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Jamie Foxx and Dane Dehaan!

joblo.com – Usually it seems like a total blast to tackle the role of the bad guy or super villain, but in the case of the poor souls in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, it rather seems like a great, horrible weight. In the film, Jamie Foxx plays Max Dillon, a worker drone who is eventually transformed (painfully, I might add) into the conflicted monster known as Electro. 8 years 31 weeks ago via theothersenhman
