"Finding Mr. Right" has turned into a mega blockbuster in China. It's the top film there for the past three weeks. Last week (4/1 - 4/7), it took in another $23.4M, upping its total to a staggering $62.5M. The Tang Wei starring film is now the second highest grossing romance in China.

Roger Ebert, the first film critic to win a Pulitzer, passed away on Thursday. He was 70. His death was a surprise to those not close to him because he didn't reveal the severity of his condition when he announced that he was taking a leave of absence from reviewing movies to treat an re-occurrence of cancer.

What didn’t come as a surprise was the continued success of Oz: The Great and Powerful, which earned another $42.2 million over the weekend, for a tidy sum of $145 million so far.

Last week’s new releases did relatively well at the box office this weekend—they at least made it to the top spots on the charts, which is more than can be said for some of the groups of releases of previous weeks.
Of the new releases, Jack the Giant Slayer fared the best at the theaters, making a sum of just over $28 million.
