Director Peter Berg Takes Over 'Deepwater Horizon' Director Peter Berg (Lone Survivor) is in talks to replace J.C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year) at the helm of Lionsgate's Deepwater Horizon. J.C. Chandor had been attached to the project for some time now, but he backed away from the adaptation due to creative differences.

A24 Films has issued a new A Most Violent Year featurette and poster in support of writer/director J.C. Chandor’s (All Is Lost) upcoming crime drama. The featurette is a nice look at not only the making of the piece, but the American economic situation that inspired it.

Mark Wahlberg is in talks to board J.C. Chandor's diaster pic Deepwater Horizon, according to Deadline. He would play one the No. 2 manager on the oil drilling platform that blew up on April 20, 2010, killing killed 11 crewmen and injuring 17 others.
