Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles spent another weekend at the top of the box office. The newcomers -- The November Man and As Above/So Below -- performed just as expected. After recapturing the top spot from Ninja Turtles last weekend, Guardians managed to remain there with a $22.9 million take over the four-day Labor Day holiday.

Watch: 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' Footage Without Visual Effects Well, nine years later, the audience who enjoyed Sin City in 2005 just doesn't seem to be very interested in the sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, because the film bombed at the box office this past weekend. Personally, I didn't find the film to be terrible, but just more of the same coming far too late. But there are still some cool visuals to be seen (especially Eva Green), and having a movie with pretty much all the environments created in post-production is pretty impressive.

Guardians of the Galaxy
After yet another weekend of disappointing new releases, it’s small wonder that holdover films would once again rule the box office. This time, however, it was a well-rated film that took the top spot (as it should be, really). This weekend went to the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

Review: Chloe Moretz shines in surprisingly mature supernatural love story 'If I Stay' Chloe Grace Moretz gives a strong grown-up performance in 'If I Stay,' a surprisingly mature supernatural love story based on a popular novel, and overall, the film earns the tears it wants its audience to spill.http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/motion-captured

This generation of writers should be exceedingly grateful for this generation of actors, particularly in the sub-genre of Dying Teen Girl Dramas.

When you're a teenager, everything feels like it's life or death, that each decision has an irrevocable ripple effect that will you experience forever. But in "If I Stay," the very decision to stay alive (or not) hangs in the balance, and it's a choice that Chloë Moretz will have to make. Based on the novel by Gayle Forman, with a screenplay by Shauna Cross and directed by R.J. Cutler ("The September Issue"), this one follows Mia, who winds up in a coma following a terrible car crash.
