Highlander Reboot Has a Completed Script, Report Says It seems like that Highlander reboot almost no one wants is finally moving forward, if a source at Deadline can be believed. The outlet claims that they “hear” Ryan Condal (Colony) has turned in a script for a immortal reboot to Lionsgate, who has been semi-actively developing the project on and off since 2008.

Highlander Reboot Lands a Director

ign.com – Summit has tapped up-and-comer Cedric Nicolas-Troyan to direct its upcoming remake of Highlander, the adventure fantasy epic about a sword-wielding Scottish immortal named Connor MacLeod. The studio is now moving ahead with a script by Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. According to Deadline, the story will remain very faithful to the 1986 Russell Mulcahy-directed original.

Summit's Highlander remake has hit another snag with the exit of director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. According to Deadline, Fresnadillo and Summit didn't see eye-to-eye on the direction of the movie and they both agreed that the best course of action is for them to part ways.
