Before The Avengers was released over here, it was breaking records overseas. Now that it had opened here, the movie was bigger than projected. The $207.4 million the movie made in its opening weekend is one for the record books and puts it on the top of the opening weekend list over Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2, the former champion.

Guillermo del Toro – Guillermo Del Toro will co-direct Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio with Mark Gustafson (Animation Director on The Fantastic Mr. Fox ). The Jim Henson Company production will be a 3D stop-motion animated version of "Pinocchio" based on the edition of Carlo Collodi's classic tale illustrated by Gris Grimly.
