Frank Grillo News
Well, that was fast. It seemed like they were still casting this sequel to last summer’s The Purge up until very recently, but here we are with a teaser trailer already. Frank Grillo has the lead role in The Purge: Anarchy, but I don’t think we see him in this trailer, unless he’s one of the masked criminals.

The lion's share of the attention surrounding Captain America: The Winter Soldier has centered on directors Joe and Anthony Russo's stated intention to spin the Cap sequel as a gritty '70s political thriller, as well as the first appearance of Sebastian Stan as the titular antagonist. But there's a whole lot of other stuff going on in the movie, including Anthony Mackie's debut as Cap's buddy the Falcon -- and Frank Grillo popping up as his persistent comics adversary Crossbow.
One of the most steadfast and reliable supporting actors around right now, actor Frank Grillo is also becoming a part of the Marvel Universe with his role as Brock Rumlow in next year's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". In the comics, Brock becomes the villain Crossbones, leaving many to wonder if Marvel has plans for that to happen to his character in either this film or further sequels.

Disconnect is the newest topical drama about the ever growing gap between humans and our humanity. The primary culprit is handheld, but as the phrase (sort of) goes: cell phones don't kill people; people kill people. And those who endanger themselves by "kindling" the flame (get it?) aren't promised redemption when they see the world beyond their handy.

Marvel Studios has begun production on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and they're celebrating by releasing the sequel's first still -- as well as a few tantalizing tidbits of information regarding the plot.
As the press release puts it, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier will pick up where Marvel’s The Avengers left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C."

It sounded like one of those wild rumors that's just plausible enough to trick people into thinking it's true, but those recent reports regarding Robert Redford joining the cast of Captain America: The Winter Soldier were actually based in reality -- and it sounds like he had a pretty compelling reason to sign on.

During its relatively brief time as a standalone studio, Marvel has developed a reputation for wooing seemingly incongruous talent for its films (like, say, getting Kenneth Branagh to direct Thor). Which is to say we shouldn't be surprised by any news that comes out of the House of Ideas' casting department -- but it's still hard not to be shocked by today's reports that Robert Redford is in talks for Captain America:
