Poltergeist Release Date Moved 20th Century Fox has made some changes to its summer schedule, moving its Poltergeist remake up by two months while also delaying the Paul Feig/Melissa McCarthy comedy Spy and the young-adult adaptation Paper Towns. Poltergeist will now arrive on May 22 while Spy has moved from that date to a June 5 slot. Paper Towns, which is based on The Fault in Our Stars author John Green’s book of the same name, moves to July 24. That means Poltergeist, which stars Sam Rockwell and Jared Harris, will face off against Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof's George Clooney-starring Tomorrowland.

'Poltergeist' remake trailer raises the question: Was it worth the trouble? The first trailer for the "Poltergeist" remake has dropped, and it looks...pretty much like the same movie as Tobe Hooper's 1982 original, actually. So what was the point of remaking it at all?

They’re Back: The First Trailer for the Poltergeist Remake is Better and More Familiar Than Expected It’s here! The full trailer for the Poltergeist remake, and it sure does look almost like a note for note rehash of the original 1982 horror blockbuster. It also doesn’t look nearly as bad or, perhaps more importantly, as toned down and family friendly as we all expected.

First Images From the Poltergeist Reboot They're heeeeeere. Again. You just can’t keep a good – well, evil – group of otherworldly spirits down. Not content with invading our world back in the 1982 original (and two sequels), the telly-obsessed terrors of Poltergeist are back in a new, rebooted version of the original tale from producer Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan. USA Today has landed the first images from the new movie.

'Poltergeist' Remake is an Adventure Movie About Child Abduction… You Know, For Kids One of the more curious horror releases arriving this year is the remake of ‘Poltergeist,’ starring Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Jared Harris. Remake or no, that is one enticing cast of talented people. The remake is based on the 1982 horror classic directed by Tobe Hooper and produced by Steven Spielberg, and up until now, we haven’t known a whole lot about it—aside from the fact that it will be presented in 3D (insert eye roll). A new interview with Rockwell provides some new details about the project, and doesn’t make it sound all that scary. Continue reading…

Watch: 'SNL' Gives 'The Fault in Our Stars' a Timely, Infectious Sequel "Sometimes the most contagious disease is love." Following last week's trailer for all the wackiness that Marvel has in store for audiences, "Saturday Night Live" has taken aim at sequelizing this past summer's tear-jerking sequel The Fault in Our Stars. Taking a cue from the headline-making arrival of ebola in the United States, the sequel shows that romance has a little more trouble this time overcoming another incurable disease. Sarah Silverman (who hosted last weekend's episode) is adorable in the Shailene Woodley role, and this is just a fun, timely parody.

‘The Fault in Our Stars’ Will Be Remade as a Bollywood Film in India Love is a universal language, but it's a lot more lucrative in the native tongue. Now that the American film adaptation of John Green‘s YA novel “The Fault in Our Stars” has earned $263 million worldwide and causing at least that many tears, it will be remade specifically for Indian audiences, it was announced on Wednesday.
