Rather than the overall cinematic disappointment of the two previous weekends, this batch of new releases offers something a little better—a mixed bag. There is one certified “fresh” release, so that’s something, at least.

Robert Rodriguez met with the Television Critics Association about the launch of his new television network, El Rey. El Ray is launching with a TV series based on Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn, but Rodriguez is still in the movie business with Sin City: A Dame to Kill For due out this August.
