What does one do after one has rocked and socked one's robots? It's a question whose answer didn't appear to be especially pressing after director Shawn Levy directed Hugh Jackman in the robot-boxin' flick Real Steel in 2011, but since the movie grossed nearly $300 million worldwide, DreamWorks greenlighted a sequel -- one that's languished in development limbo ever since, thanks to Jackman's X-Men obligations and what seems to be generally pokey work on a script.

Steven Spielberg has committed to DreamWorks' live-action big screen adaptation of Roald Dahl's children's book The BFG, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and he will shoot the movie early next year in 2015. So much for Robopocalypse being Spielberg's next movie.
