Goosebumps, the big screen adaptation of R.L. Stine's children horror books, is looking for a director, and Deadline has heard that Sony is in talks with Monsters Vs Aliens director Rob Letterman to have him helm the picture. Besides Monsters Vs Aliens, Letterman has also directed 2004's Shark Tale and 2010's Gulliver's Travels, so he's a good fit for this family friendly feature.

X-Men provided director Bryan Singer a career expansion that’s finally imploded on him. The savvy he lent The Usual Suspects seems a distant memory in the face of his newest film, a remake of 1962’s cult-y Jack the Giant Killer. He preserves that film's awkwardness but not much else.
