12:14 PM 7/21/2014 by Jeff Giles
We can't (yet) see what our old friends Luke, Han, Leia, and Chewbacca are up to on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII, but we've already been granted a sneak peek of R2-D2 -- and now, director J.J. Abrams has thrown back the curtain on our first look at the return of the X-wing fighter.

For a film that initially looked to be something of a sausage fest, Star Wars: Episode VII is shaping up to be a rather distaff-friendly slice of sci-fi. In the latest of several recent casting announcements, British actress Christina Chong has been added to the mix.
Chong joins a growing list of new faces in the upcoming sequel, including Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, and Crystal Clarke; her recent credits include an appearance in the Fox miniseries 24: Live Another Day, as well as a role in Madonna's W.E.
