The big screen adaptation of Ubisoft's Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell video game series will be directed by Doug Liman, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Tom Hardy is producing and will headline the movie. Hardy will play Sam Fisher, an operative in the secret government organization called Third Echelon. Fisher's job is to lead a group of high trained soldiers to combat terrorists around the world.

'The Lego Movie 2' Has a Director

Chris McKay, who worked on The Lego Movie as one of the animation directors, will be directing the sequel, Deadline has learned. Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the helmers of the first movie, will be producing along with Dan Lin and Roy Lee. This isn't McKay's first directing gig though. He has directed a number of Cartoon Network's Robot Chicken and Titan Maximum episodes.
