Saving Mr. Banks is a surprisingly apologetic celebration of Papa Walt and the herculean effort required to bring Mary Poppins to screen. The drama escapes whatever litigious truthiness is basic to the situation (Walt pestered the rights owner to submission) and somehow writers Kelly Marcel and Sue Smith wrestle this into a story about recovering from damaging parents.

Warcraft, the big screen adaptation of the Blizzard Entertainment's videogame franchise, will begin shooting early next year, and it looks like Legendary Pictures and Atlas Entertainment have set their sights on Colin Farrell and Paula Patton to headline the movie.

At least in theory, Christmas movies don't come much more Christmas-y than a family-friendly drama starring Tom Hanks as Walt Disney -- and even if Christmas movies aren't your thing, the first trailer for Saving Mr. Banks makes a pretty persuasive argument for America's favorite actor as the guy who created the Happiest Place on Earth.
