deadline.com – Casey Affleck is in talks to join Chris Pine in The Finest Hours at Disney. Robert Schwentke is directing. Jim Whitaker and Dorothy Aufiero are producing. Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson adapted the novel written by Casey Sherman and Michael J Tougias. Mark Romanek is in talks to direct Boston Strangler for Warner Bros., according to Variety. Casey Affleck will star and is exec producing the pic. The Boston Strangler is the name given serial killer who murdered at least 13 women in the Boston area by strangling them with their own nylon stocking during the 1960s.
