The Captain America: The Winter Soldier DVD and Blu-ray was pretty light on special features, with only three or four minues of deleted scenes at most. It led to many fans wondering whether or not there were plans for a Director's Cut or if they were holding them back for a future "Marvel Phase 2" box set. Well, talking to Collider recently, Anthony Russo had this to say about why there just wasn't that much footage left on the cutting room floor.

Today is ABC’s session for the Television Critics Association, and ABC Entertainment Group president Paul Lee spoke in an executive session. I asked him if there are more plans to tie Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the upcoming Agent Carter TV series into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, Marvel won’t let him say too much.

No Marvel One Shot On The Captain America: Winter Soldier Release Though most people still seem to stand out and mill about in the way of the screen, many of us have now been successfully trained to expect a post-credits sequence from a Marvel movie. It was getting that way with their home entertainment releases too, with the One Shot short films on their Blu-ray discs. But this time, there’s a break from the old routine. As EW confirmed, there will be no short film on the Captain America: Winter Soldier disc. Why? No specific reason is cited. Maybe they had one in the works and never got it ready in time.
