In a shareholders meeting early this week, Warner Bros. has revealed its slate of tentpoles in the coming years, and, as expected, it's heavy on superhero movies. Robert Downey Jr. will join Chris Evans in Captain America 3, which will kick off the Civil War storyline.

When Robert Downey, Jr. sent film sites around the world into a frenzy last week by intimating -- and then backpedaling very quickly -- the idea that he might be in talks for Iron Man 4, we held off on writing up any of the action, mainly because it seemed like Marvel might have an actual announcement hiding up its sleeve.

In the hands of hardcore Marvel fans, every character would have their own solo film. Hell, fans have been calling for a Loki solo movie. But not every character in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe needs a movie; in fact, the reason The Hulk worked so well in “The Avengers” is that his character left you wanting more. There’s a reason two solo Hulk movies haven’t fully worked thus far.
