In addition to the numerous delays, the Star Trek series lost showrunner Bryan Fuller a year into development due to disagreements with CBS. Fuller was replaced by Gretchen J. Vin Diesel Confirmed To Star In Sony’s Bloodshot Movie Sony Pictures’s adaptation of Valiant Comics’ Bloodshot has found its lead in Vin Diesel. When it comes to adapting comic books to the big screen, Marvel Studios and Warner Bros. are the studios to beat, but other studios have had their fair share of comic book adaptations as well. In addition to the new Spider-Man films produced in conjunction with Marvel Studios, as well as the upcoming Venom and Silver & Black films, Sony is working on yet another comic book property: Bloodshot.

Report: Vin Diesel in Talks to Play Bloodshot in Valiant Movie Universe A major star is in talks to join Valiant’s upcoming superhero movie universe. Vin Diesel is reportedly in talks to star in Bloodshot, presumably as the titular hero, according to a report from sandwich-themed Hollywood gossip blog The Wrap. Bloodshot, a comic book about a man with a red circle on his chest, is set to kick off the cinematic universe that will also include a movie based on the comic Harbinger.The movie is set to be R-Rated, with Valiant and Sony hoping to capture some of that Logan/Deadpool magic.

Mark Wahlberg, James McAvoy And Oscar Isaac On Wishlist For Bloodshot Movie Word from The Wrap is that Sony is ready to find it’s lead actor for the upcoming Bloodshot movie. Based on the Valiant Comic, Bloodshot is a nano-tech enhanced soldier created by a shadowy corporation and turned into a killing machine. He was created in 1992 by Kevin Van Hook, Don Perlin and Bob Layton. The film will be directed by Dave Wilson and written by Eric Heisserer.

Bloodshot and Harbinger Comics Films Incoming Sony Pictures has signed a five-film deal with independent comic publisher Valiant Entertainment to bring Bloodshot and Harbinger to the silver screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both comic properties will receive two films each before an Avengers-style fifth movie called Harbinger Wars will unite the casts from the previous four films.
