Review: 'Breaking Dawn Part 2': And They Were Undead Forever and Ever

10:34 PM 11/19/2012 by Sara Vizcarrondo
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II
The Twilight “kids” have grown up and like Harry Potter before them, they’re crossing over into ever mysterious “adulthood,” which for them is more languorous than life for the average muggle, but also literally interminable. I suppose, at some point, we needed to make “Happily Ever After” more extreme; the end of a semi-supernatural soap for teens is the best possible time to go "forever."

Breaking Dawn Part 2
What would you give to live in a world where death has no dominion -- where you and your loved ones remain forever frozen at the peak of your physical powers, free of sickness, infirmity, and the ravages of time?

D'oh! "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" Down to Rotten Territory

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2
Remember just a couple days ago when “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2” debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with 100% based on just six reviews and I said: “By Friday, when it’s all said and done, I don’t think reviews will stay this good, but it does have a good chance of being the only film in the franchise to get a Fresh rating...”?

Twilight Finale Flirted With An R-Rating

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II – There's a ballyhooed sex scene between Bella and Edward that received a respectable 8 on ML's Scream-O-Meter, but it apparently was some violence that almost earned Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 an R-rating from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), which would have caused quite a stir and conundrums in Twi-hard Land, which still counts quite a large crowd of teens among its ranks (not that that crafty crowd wouldn't have found a way). 7 years 44 weeks ago via jackiechan

And while Lionsgate and Summit are hoping to extend the life of their cash cow, for the moment this movie marks the end of the franchise and the story of star-crossed lovers Edward Cullen and Bella Swann. 7 years 44 weeks ago via jetli

Surprise, Surprise: "Breaking Dawn Part 2" Debuts to Good Reviews on Rotten Tomatoes

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2
Let’s hope the Twilight series end on a critically good note. That’s a tough feat to accomplish because the previous four films averaged an anemic 38% on Rotten Tomatoes, with none ever entering the Fresh territory (60% or above). I feel kinda bad because Stephenie Meyer actually gave Rotten Tomatoes a mention in one of her books.

Stephenie Meyer
Good news, Twihards: Stephenie Meyer may yet be persuaded to continue her wildly successful Twilight saga.

Taylor Lautner Says 'Breaking Dawn Part 2' Will Have "Twist" Ending That's Different From The Book – Just over two weeks until Edward, Bella, bad CGI, wooden line readings and more reunite for the final movie in the "Twilight" franchise. ZOMG. And with the cast starting to do the press rounds, they are moistening expectations for Twihards who have booked off work to say a final goodbye to their beloved Cullens.
