Iron Man 3
If first acts counted for everything, then Iron Man 3 would be a flawless five-star extravaganza of comic book fun: A sequel that starts off by accentuating its franchise's ruthlessly charming star, a fleet-footed action flick that drives the viewer around the world and sets up the stakes before the first 10 minutes have elapsed, and a tightly scripted, quip-laden techno-farce with loads of physical comedy, no shortage of off-handedly funny pop culture references, and even a little thought-provoking subtext in the bargain.

Tony Stark
Decades ago, Marvel staked its claim to comics readers' budgets by creating fully realized heroes -- characters whose messy personal lives often stood in marked contrast to the noble pictures their alter egos presented to the public -- and perhaps none were more painfully drawn than Tony Stark, the wealthy industrialist driven to a life of crimefighting after being physically crippled by bomb shards during a war his weapons helped wage.

Iron Man 3
Up 'til now, Marvel's been focusing on the grimmer aspects of Iron Man 3 -- including the epic whooping that Ol' Shell-Head's going to take from the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley). But as the latest clip Marvel's doled out makes clear, Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) can give as good as he gets.

WATCH: 'Iron Man 3' Video − The Mandarin Unleashes Red-Eyed 'Terminator'-Style Army

movieline.com – There's a new TV spot for Iron Man 3 out, and it drops a few new tantalizing images and hints. The clip begins with the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) channeling Richard Nixon with some "My fellow Americans" shtick before proclaiming that "my soldiers will destroy your country." Among the scenes that accompany the Mandarin's dire voiceover are shots of those shirtless men in metal harnesses that have been featured in previous trailers, which suggests they're the army the Mandarin is referencing. 7 years 7 weeks ago via jackiechan
