Birder's Guide
Depending who you ask, there are anywhere between one and 36 basic plots in all of human storytelling, although screenwriters tend to lean on some more than others. The coming-of-age dramedy is one particularly well-worn example, second perhaps only to the sports drama in terms of the reliable familiarity of its basic narrative contours (as well as its effectiveness in the right hands).

Exclusive: Ben Kingsley Meets Kodi Smit-McPhee In Clip From 'A Birder's Guide To Everything' – While Hollywood likes to show teenagers in movies getting up to no good, co-writer/director Rob Meyer has a different story to tell with the coming-of-age comedy "A Birder's Guide To Everything," where the only thing these kids wield is a pair of binoculars. Co-written by Oscar winner Luke Matheny (for his Live Action Short "God Of Love"), and starringKodi Smit-McPhee, James Le Gros, Alex Wolff, Katie Chang, and Ben Kingsley, the story follows David, a 15-year-old birding fanatic, who has snapped a photo of a supposedly extinct duck that hasn't been seen in North America since 1878. 6 years 13 weeks ago via jackiechan

Confirming weeks of rumors, Marvel has revealed that the next installment in its "One-Shot" series of short films will center on the Mandarin, played by Ben Kingsley in Iron Man 3. But if you had a problem with the way IM3 portrayed one of Iron Man's most enduring, nastiest villains as a bumbling alcoholic actor serving as a false front for the movie's real bad guy, take heart:

Okay, first things first: if you haven't seen Iron Man 3, just stop reading now, because everything that's in here is going to spoil the heck out of a crucial twist in the movie's plot. Rumor: Ben Kingsley's "Secret Marvel Project" Is a New One-Shot Short Film – Last week, Ben Kingsley got the attention of Marvel fans everywhere when he revealed he’d filmed a “secret project” for the studio. Kingsley had seemingly finished his role as the Mandarin in Iron Man 3, but this new information brought up a plethora of possibilities regarding the character. Studio President Kevin Feige wouldn’t comment on the quote, but basically acknowledged Kingsley had filmed something.

Ben Kingsley Has Already Filmed Another Marvel Movie Project – Here’s a surprise and, by my measure, something of a pleasant one. According to Ben Kingsley, he’s already followed up on Iron Man 3 and shot something else for Marvel studios. Here’s the quote from the Belfast Telegraph, as indicated by Coming Soon: It’s a secret Marvel project. I’m not allowed to say any more, you’re going to have to wait and see. 6 years 31 weeks ago via jetli
