Ben Affleck Explains Leaving Batman Behind, Retires the Cape and Cowl on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ Last month brought the official but unsurprising news that The Batman would not bring Ben Affleck back as The Dark Knight. Instead, the new film from director Matt Reeves will take a more noir approach to the Caped Crusader and will put a younger actor back in the role. So what happened with Batfleck? Ben Affleck appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, and conversation inevitably turned to the actor retiring from his post as Gotham’s crimefighter. It’s the first time Affleck has publicly spoken out specifically about leaving the role behind.

Ben Affleck Is The Biggest Batman Yet I remember seeing the first clips from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and how Ben Affleck’s Batman was eye-to-eye with Henry Cavill’s Superman and I thought… Dang, Batman is tall. Turns out that he really is. Affleck is the largest actor to play Batman and is even bigger than the character is described in the comics. The below infograph breaks it down. The comic Batman was said to be 6’2″ and weight in at 210lbs which was almost exactly what Adam West was give or take a few pounds.

Ben Affleck's Batsuit In BATMAN V SUPERMAN May Not Be As Functional As We Thought Based on the previous trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ben Affleck's Batman appeared to be the agile, bone-crushing, one-man army that The Dark Knight should be. However, according to Henry Cavill, Affleck's Batsuit may not be as functional as it appears. Said Cavill, "Ben's got a good sense of humor. He really does. Especially when he's walking around in his big Batsuit and because he can't see anything peripherally. He falls over stuff all the time. It's not his fault. He's not clumsy or anything.

Wonder Woman Independent In Batman V Superman; Ben Affleck & Henry Cavill Spar In Omaze Video While talking with Glamour (via The Hollywood Reporter), Gal Gadot discussed Wonder Woman’s role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, calling her “independent” from the other members of the trilogy. “She is not relying on a man, and she’s not there because of a love story. She’s not there to serve someone else,” Gadot explained. Pointing out that the character has many strengths and powers, she considered Wonder Woman’s heart as her key feature. “That’s her strength. I think women are amazing for being able to show what they feel,” she said.

Watch: Two Turkish Airlines Ads for the Cities in 'Batman v Superman' "There's never been a better time to visit our great city." Whoa! Now these are cool TV ads, not just your conventional TV spots. Turkish Airlines has debuted two different 60-second TV ads that are also promoting Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman. Each spot is a travel ad for visiting either Gotham City, hosted by Wayne Enterprise CEO Bruce Wayne, played by Ben Affleck; or Metropolis, hosted by Lex Corp's CEO Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg. There is mention of Metropolis' "heroes" and they show Superman flying around.
