The Giver
This weekend brings an interesting mix of new releases to theaters—we have some tongue-in-cheek mindless action, some young-adult dystopian literature-turned-film, and a risqué buddy cop comedy (sort of). The good news: a wide spectrum of genres that would normally attract lots of moviegoers. The bad news: not one of the new releases is getting good reviews, which may scare any moviegoers away.

We interview Antonio Banderas and Wesley Snipes for The Expendables 3 – While attending the premiere of THE EXPENDABLES 3 in London (my review here), I was given the opportunity to talk with Antonio Banderas and Wesley Snipes about their parts in the new franchise. Antonio Banderas Thinks He's Made The Cut Of Terrence Malick's 'Knight Of Cups,' Barely Remembers Shooting It – Remember back in 2011, when Terrence Malick released the literally indescribably powerful film “The Tree of Life” and let it be known that he had no less than three more films on their way? I’ve been looking at some casting calls and other documents shared with people in the area, and it’s sounding quite interesting. For one thing, Antonio Banderas has been cast in the film as a pirate. 9 years 11 weeks ago via jackiechan

Watch: New Trailer For Pedro Almodovar's 'I'm So Excited' Gives First Look At Penelope Cruz & Antonio Banderas – If Pedro Almodovar needed to do something lighter after "The Skin I Live In," and perhaps a movie not as layered as "Broken Embraces," we understand. And indeed, he's gone and knocked out a movie closer in spirit to his more anarchic early work ("Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown" is said to be a comparison point), than his later projects. 9 years 44 weeks ago via jackiechan
