A Good Marriage is based on Stephen King‘s novella from the Full Dark, No Stars collection, and it’s the first King screenplay to hit the big screen in a long time. The film stars Joan Allen, Anthony LaPaglia, Kristen Connolly, and Stephen Lang in a story about a woman who discovers that her perfect, loving husband is in fact a serial killer. Nice concept, but this first A Good Marriage trailer shows that it might falter in the execution. Check it out below.

The Without A Trace alumni will play Bob Anderson in the film, based on the 2010 novella by the best-selling author, about a wife who discovers her soft-spoken husband is a serial killer. LaPaglia’s Bob is the serial killer, with Joan Allen as his wife Darcy.

As "Django Unchained" made its way in front of cameras, Quentin Tarantino saw both the cast and script for his upcoming slavery/western/vengeance change as production moved along. Joseph Gordon-Levitt had to bail on his small role in the film, Kevin Costner couldn't commit to his role either, Sacha Baron Cohen had to bow out and Kurt Russell also exited the picture (and while Jonah Hill did initially turn down the movie due to scheduling, he was able to join later on, albeit in a different role).

LaPaglia will play the leader of a group of greedy Australians who encounter slave-turned-bounty hunter Django (Jamie Foxx) as they are escorting a group of slaves recently purchased as fighters. LaPaglia said he and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play mean brothers, and LaPaglia said he was bowled over by the script.
