Colin Trevorrow Directing 'Jurassic Park 4'

The director for Jurassic Park 4 is not Steven Spielberg, as rumored earlier this morning, but Colin Trevorrow, who made his feature debut with 2012's sci-fi comedy Safety Not Guaranteed. Trevorrow will direct from a script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley are producing, and Steven Spielberg is exec producing.

Last year, producer Frank Marshall said he expected the Jurassic Park IV movie to be in theaters within two years, and he was true to his word. Jurassic Park IV has been dated for June 14, 2014, Universal announced last Friday. Why did it take nearly 13 years? The script, said producer Kathleen Kennedy.
