Box Office Late Nights: ‘Maze Runner’ Off To Good Start With $1.1M, ‘Tombstones’ Takes In $480K

deadline.com – Fox's The Maze Runner grabbed $1.1M in late night showing from 2,200 locations starting at 10PM. The best comparison is probably the sci-fi actioner, Ender's Game which opened with $1.4 million in November 2013 and went onto have an opening weekend gross of $27M. So, perhaps Fox is more on the money with a lower estimate for this weekend.

deadline.com – It'll likely be Guardians Of The Galaxy as No. 1 again this weekend, while Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles should continue to play hard throughout the long Labor Day weekend. IMAX was smart to book Guardians in its theaters for as long as it has. Great foresight on a picture that was a big question prior to opening. 3 weeks 4 days ago via theothersenhman
