What's Popping: 'Prometheus 2,' 'Indiana Jones,' 'Terminator,' 'Lobo,' 'Magic Mike 2'

Ridley Scott is currently finishing up his biblical tale Exodus: Gods and Kings, but we know which movie he's going to direct next. No, it's not the Blade Runner movie, but Prometheus 2, which is scheduled for theaters on March 4, 2016. Michael Green has been hired to touch up the script.
Lucasfilm reportedly has a plan in place to recast Indiana Jones if the fifth Indy movie didn't get going by a certain date. The studio has come out and denied the rumor, but it's hard to believe that the Indy franchise will end with Ford.
Dayo Okeniyi has joined the Terminator: Genesis cast as Miles Dyson's son, Danny. More than that, the producers are going all in with new trilogy since the rights to the franchise will revert back to James Cameron in 2019. The 2nd & 3rd movie will film back-to-back over a nine months shoot to make that deadline.
Dwayne Johnson was once attached to play the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo, and while that project never got anywhere, Johnson has another one in the works.
The sequel to Magic Mike is reportedly Magic Mike XXL because Bigger, Longer & Uncut is taken by that South Park movie. Greg Jacobs will take over the helm from Steven Soderbergh. Production is expected to begin sometime this fall.
