What's Popping: 'G.I. Joe 3,' 'Chucky 7,' 'The Expendables 4,' 'Nerveracker,' and 'Trollhunter'

G.I. Joe

While G.I. Joe 3 is sorting out who will direct the movie, Lethal Weapon 4's Jonathan Lemkin has been hired to take a look at the script. Production is planned for early 2015.

Chucky creator Don Mancini has confirmed that he's writing a seventh Chucky movie, and the voice of Chucky himself, Brad Dourif, is expected back to reprise his signature role. As to what the movie will be called, Mancini is not willing to reveal that just yet.

The Expendables 3 won't be in theaters until this August 15, but everyone's already looking toward the next one. One of those is Pierce Brosnan, who wants producer Avi Lerner to give him a call when the script is ready.

Not much is known about Robert Rodriguez's next movie Nerveracker, but he describes it as "a dirty sci-fi, futuristic movie."

Neil Marshall says his Trollhunter remake will ditch the found footage technique of the Norwegian original, and the world and story will also be fleshed out a bit more.
