What's Popping: 'Dumbo,' Star Trek 3,' 'David,' 'Episode VII,' 'Tusk' Spinoff

Dumbo

Dumbo is the latest Disney animated classic to get the live-action treatment, and writing the script will be Transfromers writer Ehren Kruger.

We're coming up on the third Star Trek movie and if you're wondering when the crew of the Enterprise will start their five year mission to explore new worlds and civilizations, Zachary Quinto has good news for you. He thinks the mission will be a part of the next film in some way or another.

Seems like Ridley Scott and Fox have found religion because they are teaming up for another movie based on a character from the Old Testament. Scott will be producing a movie based on King David for the studio. It's too early to tell if Scott will direct as well.

J.J. Abrams has revealed in a set pic that Star Wars: Episode VII will be partially filmed in IMAX, which means those scenes will look even more impressive on those gigantic screens.

Kevin Smith says the Weinsteins has passed on financing Clerks 3, so the movie will have to be put on hold until they can find outside funding. In the meantime, Smith will move on to a spinoff of Tusk, which will be centered on two minor characters in the movie.
