What's Popping: 'Die Hard 6', 'Batman vs Superman', 'Don Quixote', 'The Stand', 'Wonderful Life'

Die Hard

If you're one of those who are disappointed in the direction the Die Hard franchise took with the last two movies, there's good news. Ben Trebilcook, who is penning the Die Hard 6 screenplay, promises the next movie will return John McClane to his roots.

Apparently, Batman will be somewhat of a recluse in the Man of Steel sequel. Producer Daniel Alter revealed in a tweet that the Dark Knight isn't on speaking terms with Robin and that he has secluded himself in his Batcave while playing around with drones.

Terry Gilliam isn't letting his past failures with bringing The Man Who Killed Don Quixote deter him from giving it another go. "I actually just want to make it and get rid of it," Gilliam said. "Get it out of my life."

Warner Bros.' big screen adaption of Stephen King's The Stand has lost its director. Scott Cooper, who took over for Ben Affleck, has dropped out due to creative differences with the studio. Expect his replacement to be announced soon.

There's a It's a Wonderful Life sequel in the works, but the project will have to go through the lawyers first. The sequel, titled It's a Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story, is independently financed and produced, but Paramount is asserting its ownership over the feature rights.
