Watch the First Trailer for Dwayne Johnson's 'Snitch'

We've all seen more than our share of action thrillers revolving around characters who have to go undercover to break into some crime ring or other in order to save a family member from some horrible fate, but next month's Snitch boasts something most of them don't: Namely, a killer cast that includes Susan Sarandon, Michael K. Williams of The Wire, and Dwayne Johnson in the central role.
Johnson stars as a father who, after watching his son go down for a 10-year prison sentence for a crime he didn't commit, volunteers to serve as a DEA narc in exchange for an early release. It's an improbable setup for sure, but Switch's premise doesn't beggar disbelief any more or less than most other movies of its ilk, and as this trailer makes clear, it does a more-than-serviceable job of the two things any worthwhile action movie needs to do: 1) Delineate the stakes, and 2) Serve up a few badass set pieces.
It goes without saying that Snitch doesn't look like an Academy Award winner, but for a February action flick, it certainly seems to have the goods. Between this and the perfectly decent The Last Stand, 2013 is shaping up to be quite the year for genre fans. Take a look at the clip below:
