Movies With Butter

When we first heard that Lana and Andy Wachowski are developing a sci-fi
action movie at Warner Bros titled Jupiter Ascending, nothing was known about the movie other than it's an original creation by the siblings and that it's in the same genre as their Matrix movies.

In March of this year, the lead roles were offered to Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum. Natalie Portman's name was in the mix as well. But, still, there's no word on what the movie is about. Until now.

The folks over at Vulture says they've spoken with someone with knowledge of the movie, and, if their source was indeed telling the truth, Jupiter Ascending is kind of like a futuristic Snow White tale.

According to this source, Kunis will play a cleaning lady who has the same genetic makeup as the Queen of the Universe (Portman?). For reasons we can guess, the Queen feels threatened by this upstart, and she sends a bounty hunter (Tatum) to nip this threat in the bud.

In an (gasp!) unexpected twist, the bounty hunter falls for the cleaning lady and vows to protect her from the Queen's goons.

This story will supposedly take three movies to tell. If history is anything to go by, the second movie will probably be filled with dense exposition about genetics and the meaning of life, as well as pointless fight and chase scenes.

Vulture's source also said an offer will go out to Joseph Gordon-Levitt soon. His role is a unknown at this point, but it's possible he may play another bounty hunter sent to kill off Kunis' character.
