Vincent D'Onofrio Joins 'Jurassic World'

We may not know what Jurassic World's plot holds in store for us, but director Colin Trevorrow does, and he's busy assembling a fairly impressive cast to bring the long-delayed sequel to life. His latest addition? Vincent D'Onofrio.
Variety reports that D'Onofrio has come on board to play the villain, joining a cast that already included Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, and Nick Robinson. (Concurrently with this news, we've sadly learned that Jeff Goldblum will most likely not be back.)
Jurassic World serves as a reboot of sorts for the dormant series, which last found dinosaurs wreaking modern-day havoc in 2001's Jurassic Park III. Trevorrow co-wrote the screenplay with Derek Connolly, and is filming with an eye toward a June 12, 2015 release date.
