'Transformers: Age of Extinction' Trailer Reveals Dinobots

Transformers 4

We know the new Transformers movie "reboots" (but not really) the robo-riffic franchise with a new human cast that includes Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammer, and Stanley Tucci, but nobody goes to see these movies for the human beings on display -- they just want to know what the robots are up to, and director Michael Bay has just given us a decent-sized look at the metallic carnage we can expect in Transformers: Age of Extinction, due June 27.

As befits a Michael Bay production, there's precious little exposition in this clip, which debuted during the Super Bowl on February 2. Basically, we know Mark Wahlberg's character intends to save the world, which is the way Mark Wahlberg likes to make movies -- no surprises there. What Transformers fans will want to note is the fact that the spot gives us our first sorta-extended look at the Dinobots in action, particularly Grimlock, who gives a sword-wielding Optimus Prime a piggyback ride at one point.

The clip also suggests that Extinction will give viewers a dose of the Terrorcons, a group of Decepticons who combine, Voltron-style, to create a big ol' 'bot called Abominus.

Still no real storyline details, but who cares? Gorge on the CGI below:
