'Transformers 4' to Center on a High School Senior and Her Race Car Driving Boyfriend?

Transformers

We know Transformers 4 will have a new cast, and it looks like the human leads in the movie may be a high school senior and her race car driving boyfriend if the report by SpoilerTV (via Comingsoon) is to be believed.

The report is scant on details (it's only two sentences), so it's not official until there's confirmation.

UPDATE: Slashfilm has more detail about the casting call, so it looks like it's pretty much official. Here it is below:

"The female lead role is an 18 year old or above who can play high school senior age, and the male lead is an early twenties Texas race car driver who plays the female lead’s boyfriend. Shooting will take place in various locations beginning in April or May of 2013."

Scheduled to be in theaters on June 27, 2014, Transformers 4 is Michael Bays' final Transformers movie as the director. After which, he'll hand the franchise off to someone else.

With a couple of exceptions, the movie will feature a new human and robot cast, but will keep continuity with the previous three movies. Bay has hinted that the fourth movie may take place in space.

Bay is currently in post with his action comedy Pain and Gain which stars Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson as body builders involved in a kidnapping scheme. After he's done with that, he'll move on to Transformers 4.
