Trailer: Arnold Schwarzenegger Is Back in 'The Last Stand'

After doing time in Sacramento, California as the state's governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger is back to doing movies. We can see him in an extended cameo in The Expendables 2 that's opening this week.
For his first starring role since leaving office however, we'll have to wait until January 18, 2013 for The Last Stand. We can see what that movie will be like in the trailer embedded below.
The Last Stand is directed by Korean director Kim Lee-woon, who is making his US directorial debut with the movie. Schwarzenegger stars as a small-town cop who has to stop an escaped drug kingpin played by Eduardo Noriega from making his way to the Mexican border. They are joined by Forest Whitaker, Peter Stormare, Jaimie Alexander, Johnny Knoxville, Luis Guzman, and Rodrigo Santoro.
There are certainly lots of action scenes in the trailer, but they're not well composed or filmed. Most disturbing is the movie's release date. January, with exceptions, is a month studios use to dump movies they don't want people to see. Having The Stand Stand occupy a slot in this month doesn't bode well for the movie.
