There Are Two Post Credits Scenes in 'The Avengers'; Movie on Track for a $580 Million Global Box Office This Weekend

How is this for a contradiction? Not only will The Avengers knock moviegoers out of their seats, the movie will keep them glued to it until the very last frame as well. How? By being totally awesome.
Reports are coming out that there is a second post credits scene in the US version of The Avengers that is not included in the overseas version. Why? Because that scene did not exist until recently.
During the US premiere of the movie back in April, Robert Downey Jr. revealed that they were going to film an extra scene that day. Now, we know what that extra scene is.
If you want to know what it entails, head over to Slashfilm or Digital Spy to get all the spoilery details. Let's just say it's a moment of bonding for members of The Avengers.
Including extraneous scenes for different regions is actually a genius move, and it's something I can see happening more of in the future. It gives viewers a reason to watch the movie again if they've seen it elsewhere, and there's the home video aspect to it as well.
In case you don't know, The Avengers is coming to theaters May 4th, and the movie stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Stellan Skarsgard, and Tom Hiddleston.
The Avengers is loved by the critics, having earned a Tomatometer of 93% over at Rotten Tomatoes, and the movie has already made over $260 million at the box office overseas and will probably break the $580 million mark this weekend when it makes its debut in North America, Russia, and China.
