Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro Reportedly in Talks to Knock Each Other Silly in 'Grudge Match'

According to TheWrap, Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro are in talks to play retired boxers who are coaxed out of retirement for, what else?, one final grudge match between the two in the Warner Bros comedy Grudge Match.
Get Smart's Peter Segal is attached to direct from a script written by Tim Kellenher and polished by Entourage's creator Doug Ellin.
On the surface, having Stallone and De Niro play the leads sounds like inspired casting -- finally, we can find out who would win in a match between Rocky and Jake LaMotta -- but we would do well to remember that comedy and Stallone don't mix. Anyone remember Oscar or Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot? You get my point.
Since neither camp have confirmed that talks are talking place, we can chalk this up as a rumor for now.
Stallone is currently shooting The Tomb with Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the movie, he plays a security expert who is locked up in a high-tech prison of his own design. The Tomb will come out sometime next year. Stallone and a collection of who's who of past action stars can be seen in The Expendables 2, which is coming out on August 17th of this year.
Robert De Niro was recently seen playing a homeless writer in the drama Being Flynn. He will join Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, and Christopher Walken in the comedy Last Vegas.
