Summit Entertainment, the studio that gave the world the Twilight Saga movies, is developing a post-alien invasion thriller titled Revoc, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The studio acquired the pitch from Icelandic filmmaker Olaf de Fleur, and while the plot is kept under wraps, it is described as in the vein of District 9 and Moon, possibly referring to the 2009 movie starring Sam Rockwell and Kevin Spacey.

No word if de Fleur will stay on to write or direct the movie.

Summit was acquired by Lionsgate earlier this year for $421.5 million. Given that all five of the Twilight Saga movies have combined to gross over $3 billion at the global box office, that $421.5 million figure sounds like a steal.

Last we heard, Lionsgate may be planning to produce a Twilight Saga TV series before rebooting the movies with a brand new cast or possibly a spinoff series.
