'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' Debuts First Trailer

Sin City 2

If you prefer your movies served up in black and white with tons of violence and a heaping helping of prosthetics, good news: your long-awaited Sin City sequel is just a few months away, and to help whet your appetite for the second installment in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's neo-neo-noir franchise, Dimension has just released its first trailer.

At a slender minute and 24 seconds, don't expect too many plot details to be spilled, but what it lacks in exposition, it makes up with splashy violence and lots more of the signature visual style that helped make the first Sin City such a big hit. Of course, that was nine years ago, and what once seemed fresh often feels a little stale after almost a decade has gone by. How will Sin City: A Dame to Kill For fare? We'll find out when it arrives in theaters on August 22.
