Shredder from 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Revealed

Shredder

Every generation gets the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie it deserves, and thus far, quite a few TMNT fans have felt fairly down in the dumps about Paramount's upcoming attempt to reboot the franchise -- partly due to discomfiting visual evidence, and partly because Michael Bay is producing the whole shebang.

Well, buckle up, half-shells, because today you've got your first look at the newly rebooted Shredder. He's partially shrouded by mist and shadow in this shot, but you can definitely get a feel for where the new Ninja Turtles is going with the character -- and see a bit of the Turtles' mentor Splinter, the foreground figure Shredder's towering over here.

Happy with this version of the Turtles' nemesis? Disgusted? Either way, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is due to arrive in theaters on August 8.
