Sam Worthington Says 'Avatar' Sequels Shooting Next Fall

While Fox and James Cameron are not forthcoming with details about the Avatar sequels, like when they're shooting, Sam Worthington is more than happy to oblige.

In an radio interview (via Comingsoon), Worthington reveals that the three Avatar sequels are shooting next October.

"We are going to start this time next year and we will do two, three and four," Worthington said. "In one shot, we'll do them simultaneously. I'll be grateful if it finishes."

One of the reasons why the movies are shooting then is because "[t]hey are still writing it," as in the scripts for all three sequels.

Worthington and Zoe Saldana are expected to return to reprise their roles. Arnold Schwarzenegger has been rumored – a rumor Fox denies – to play the bad guy in Avatar 2, which is scheduled for a December 2016 release.
